On 7/27/25, President Trump met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Following negotiations, Trump announced that the United States and the EU have reached a trade deal. Under the terms of the deal, the EU has agreed to buy $750 billion worth of energy from the US.
Additionally, the EU will make $600 billion in investments in the US and will purchase hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment. European goods coming into the U.S. will have a 15% tariff, the EU will put 0% tariffs on U.S. goods.
