Our Mission

HYGO News publishes video coverage of public events in Washington, with written context and links to the official record, plus explainers on how the federal government works. We aim for accuracy, but readers should verify consequential details with current authoritative sources.

How We Research

Featured articles are built from the event video and the official record: GovInfo's Compilation of Presidential Documents, archived White House websites, the American Presidency Project, congressional and agency publications, and independent news coverage. Quotes are checked against the official transcript where one exists. Figures cited by a speaker are checked against their original source, and the article says so when a claim does not hold up. Commentary is labeled as commentary.

Review Process

Drafts pass automated checks for required metadata, duplicate slugs, broken internal links, placeholders, and publishing status. Higher-risk financial, education, safety, and legal topics receive additional source and disclaimer checks. These controls reduce errors but are not a guarantee, and they do not constitute professional review.

AI Assistance

Drafting, organization, and quality checks may use automated or AI-assisted tools. We do not present AI-assisted desk research as personal experience. Pages with unfinished components, unsupported testing claims, or insufficient substance are withheld from search indexing and advertising until corrected.

Updates and Corrections

We regularly review published content to ensure it remains accurate. When facts change — such as updated regulations, new product releases, or corrected data — we update our articles and note the revision date. If you find an error, please contact us and we will investigate promptly.
